Cummins L9 Harvest Engine
The Cummins L9 Harvest engine is designed for real harvesting conditions, where combine harvestors work for hours under sustained, heavy load. The 8.9-litre, six-cylinder engine delivers up to 320 kW (429 hp) and 1,846 Nm of peak torque, with strong torque in the working range to keep crop moving through changing conditions. Optimised for the 1,700-1,900 rpm range where combines spend most of their time, its lower 1,900 rpm rated speed supports fuel efficiency and reduces engine stress over long harvest days. A Holset HE400 variable geometry turbocharger adjusts airflow automatically as load changes, maintaining power and responsiveness. The EGR-free engine is certified to EU Stage V with Cummins Single Module aftertreatment, and 1,000-hour oil drain and fuel filter intervals help maximise uptime when every hour of the harvest window counts.
