The next-generation Cummins X15 for off-highway applications delivers higher power and torque with less weight, in a package size that resembles a 13-litre engine. Intermittent agriculture ratings range from 400 to 600 hp (298 to 447 kW), with peak torque up to 3,000 Nm (2,213 lb-ft). High-efficiency fuel injection provides precise fuelling and combustion control at ultra-high pressures, and the newly optimised Holset HE550 wastegate turbocharger offers excellent transient response and altitude capability. The latest X15 delivers up to 10% better fuel economy than the prior model with comparable ratings and duty cycles, and service intervals of up to 1,000 hours mean less overall maintenance - ideal for high-horsepower tractors, combines and harvesters.
