Trailer axle with the possibility of free steering in forward and powered steering in reverse.

What is innovative: the design of the actuating cylinders of the steering axle.

Foreseen advantages: it provides the benefits of the free steering system when driving forward, and those of the electronic power steering in reverse, but with reduced costs and complexity.

easyMatic connect

Closed Transfer System for all sizes of containers.

What is innovative: the system allows not only to transfer plant protection products from small containers of up to 15 l, as it's common for similar solutions, but also from larger containers up to 1000 l. This result is achieved basically integrating two different systems into one device. A rinsing water connection supports both systems.

Foreseen advantages: increased productivity and operator's safety, reduced environmental impact.

UT110-CH500

Compact self-propelled grape harverster for terraces.

What is innovative: the machine, which already exists in a version designed to work along a steep slope, has been completely redesigned for terraces. This includes the shaking and the conveying systems. In addition, a new Stage V engine has been fitted without increasing the dimensions of the machine; the winch system has been optimized as well.

Foreseen advantages: the new version of the machine has been optimized to work on terraces, where it doubles the productivity of the previous version for steep slopes.

MACH 4 TONY

Narrow tractor for vineyards and orchards with rubber tracks, articulated chassis and hydrostatic transmission.

What is innovative: this is the first tractor for orchard and vineyard with four rubber tracks and hydrostatic transmission, reversible, with articulated chassis and category IV cab.

Foreseen advantages: improved comfort and flexibility on high-traction tractor; increased productivity.

ARAG FLOWTRON on-off and PWM solenoid valve

Solenoid valve for PWM (Pulse-width modulation).

What is innovative: compared to other PWM solutions on the market, this valve has an innovative connection with its nozzle holder, thanks to which a very low stroke of the moving part of the valve and an adequate passage section can be guaranteed. This ensures at the same time a very quick and precise valve, and a large flow-rate. It is an enabling technology to ensure an highly-controlled distribution also for PWM technique.

Foreseen advantages: reduction in environmental impact and optimization of the use of plant protection products.

Landini Rex4 Full-Hybrid

Agricultural narrow tractor for orchard and vineyard with plug-in hybrid engine.

What is innovative: the parallel hybrid drive is done via an electromechanical unit between the ICE and the mechanical transmission. This allows the tractor to be used as a full-electric vehicle, including the availability of the hydraulic circuit and the cab climatisation, with up to two hours autonomy.

Foreseen advantages: reduced environmental impact, improvements in productivity.

MoonDino

Autonomous robot for mechanical weeding in a rice field, also on submerged soil.

What is innovative: the machine is electrically powered, and the battery is re-charged by onboard solar panel, for continuous work up to two months. It features GPS+RTK technology for centrimetical precision and follows maps pre-determined during rice sowing.

Foreseen advantages: reduced environmental impact.

Mechanical fruit thinner

Mechanical fruit thinner.

What is innovative: the machine features a shaft put in rotation by a hydraulic motor, with controlled rotational speed and effort. On this shaft multiple oscillating rods are fitted. This is the only machine for mechanical fruit thinning with powered actuation of the tools available on the market.

Foreseen advantages: productivity increase, compared to manual thinning. Reduced environmental impact, compared to chemical thinning.

New Holland Telehandler electro-hydraulic self levelling of the tool carrier

Telehandler with electro-actuated levelling of the boom attachment.

What is innovative: currently, the self-levelling of the attachment while lifting the boom is commonly achieved with a compensation cylinder, that is a completely hydraulic system. This can be optimized for one attachment only, but may not be as accurate for others. Instead, the proposed solution allows to have accurate levelling for every possible attachment, and it's also the basis for the future integration of automated functions.

Foreseen advantages: improved operativity, reduced maintenance, simplified manufacturing. It enables future developments.

VLN (Vision Lane Navigation)

System based on computer vision which enables autonomous driving in the lanes of a vineyard.

What is innovative: images are processed by an Artificial Intelligence system, which continues to learn each time the system is used. The system is based on the Digital Twin technique so tractor, tool, farm and cultivation are initially digitized, then each usage becomes a physical test to improve its performances.

Foreseen advantages: the system does not require GPS signal and related RTK corrections to have the necessary accuracy, or the addition of lidar sensors, radar, ultrasonic to allow navigation within the narrow lanes of vineyards.

Dieci Hybrid Boost System

Hybrid telehandler.

What is innovative: the machine has a hybrid system, where the internal combustion engine delivers 55kW, not needing the separate tank for AD-Blue to fulfill stage V emission regulation; but the performances are identical to those of a machine powered by a combustion engine delivering 79kW. This is achieved through the power boost provided by the hybrid system and also through an optimization of the hydraulic circuit, especially concerning the minimum pressure in the circuit when not actuating movements.

Foreseen advantages: reduction of environmental impact and costs, through optimization of energy use.

Forestry mulcher with variable volume chopping chamber

Forestry mulcher for excavator.

What is innovative: the mulcher is fitted with a device to modify the distance between the shredding chamber and the rotor. This aims to offer two different working modes: by enlarging the chamber the product will be coarser and the power absorption will decrease, instead by reducing its dimension the material will be finer but the power absorption will increase.

Foreseen advantages: increase in flexibility of the machine, which allows to perform both blast chilling and finishing.

MARCEL – Electrical agricultural machines

Electric agricultural implements: Dragone Srl: straddle sprayer for vineyard - Fissore Snc: ditch digger - Fontana Srl: leveller - Frandent Group Srl: rotary tedder - Spezia Srl: vineyard leaf picker.

What is innovative (main aspect for each machine): straddle sprayer for vineyard: introduction of eight individual fans per row, directly impacting the crop canopy. Ditch digger: variable working distance between the tractor and the canal. Leveller: increased integration with the tractor. Rotary tedder: possibility to adjust rotor speed, working width and angle of incidence of the machine with respect to the ground in a continuous way and independently from the tractor. Vineyard leaf picker: increased energy efficiency.

Foreseen advantages: reduced environmental impact, improved controllability and productivity. In addition, companies which cooperated to the project shared many components in order to reduce development cost and timing.

Mini-dozer

Compact tracked leveller.

What is innovative: its compact dimensions, making it suitable for greenhouses or gardens and allows to mechanize operations otherwise to be done manually. It also features technologies which can usually be found on larger machines, such as dual slope laser system or GPS.

Foreseen advantages: reduced environmental impact, since a perfectly levelled terrain means saved water used for greenhouse irrigation.

KOMFORT MOUNTAIN 7000T

Hydraulic mowing arm with two extensions, one of which is able also to recede from the pivoting point.

What is innovative: all the other solutions in the market may have positive extensions, meaning that the longitudinal movements are only able to increase the distance between the mowing head and the pivoting points. Instead, in this solution the mowing head can also be translated towards the pivoting point.

Foreseen advantages: the solution allows to mulch vegetation along a vertical plane tangential to the road limit, without the need to displace the tractor towards the center of the road. Thus, ergonomics and safety are improved.

ELEPHUMP

Motor pump for irrigation.

What is innovative: the machine has been completely re-designed in order to ensure linearity of the suction circuit in every operative situation. To achieve this result, features such as rotating ground support platform, hoist for folding the suction hose and winch for lifting suction set are fitted. In addition, the pump is equipped with reels for tubes that can be connected by quick hydraulic couplings to deliver the pumped fluid to any user; it's also equipped with a vacuum primer designed to run dry.

Foreseen advantages: improved performances and easiness to use, reduction of the environmental impact.

21 - B/46

OPTIMA Smart Sprayer

Orchard sprayer with real time canopy adaptation and zone-selective treatments based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) pest early detection.

What is innovative: it runs two algorithms in parallel. The first one features the adaptation of the spray deposition in function of Tree Row Volume (TRV) with three sections independently varying spray pressure per side. The second one executes zone selective spraying on the basis of early diseases detection maps generated with the help of a pest Early Detection System (EDS) coupled with a Decision Support System (DSS).

Foreseen advantages: improved plant protection, reduced environmental impact.

Vocal control for agricultural machinery.

What is innovative: application of vocal control to agricultural machinery.

Foreseen advantages: improved easiness of use.

Modula lift

Vertical farming solution for the cultivation of strawberries.

What is innovative: compared to traditional strawberry cultivation, this solution is a completely different technique. Compared to other vertical farming solutions for green leaf vegetables, this one is designed just as an automated warehouse with many moving levels and it has a more precise control of the internal environment, which is necessary in every single phase of the plant growth.

Foreseen advantages: it reduces soil consumption, it allows up to six harvesting cycles per year and above all it allows to reduce to zero the transportation phase. This leads to the availability of more mature fruits, so to a better acceptance from the market.

ROVER MK1

Compact, electric, remotely-controlled, self-propelled crawled sprayer.

What is innovative: the machine has been designed to address the operative needs in greenhouses. It's powered electrically, it is controlled remotely also through a camera system and it has a specific design of the fans, which can also be regulated in height and width, to improve the uniformity of air distribution.

Foreseen advantages: reduction of the environmental impact compared to a traditional solution composed by a tractor and a mounted sprayer, both in terms of energy consumption and of accuracy of plant product distribution. Increase in operator's safety, because the person is not directly exposed to the distributed product.

TRM- VORTEX

Multi-functional machine which combines the functionalities of a sprayer and of a pneumatic defoliator.

What is innovative: the combination of a sprayer and a pneumatic defoliator on the same machine.

Foreseen advantages: improved productivity.

Combined double layer mulching-sowing machine

Double-layer mulching and seeding machine.

What is innovative: this solution was not available on the market before. In a single passage, it allows the positioning of a first mulching layer, the seeding and the positioning of a second mulching layer. The layers are made by paper.

Foreseen advantages: cost reduction and flexibility increase compared to the current solutions.

METOS FWT

Smart field water tube. It measures the need for flooding in the AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying) technique for rice cultivation.

What is innovative: the device is electronic and connected. It allows the digitalization of a monitoring operation typically conducted manually. It is powered by a mini solar panel and a battery system; it measures a water level, logs and transmits data to the cloud and it's integrated with other field management digital solutions.

Foreseen advantages: the solution allows the user to save time and increase precision, thus facilitating the adoption of new water-saving techniques such as AWD for rice cultivation.

21 - B/33

RVshift

Transmission for agricultural tractor.

What is innovative: hybrid transmission electronically controlled to offer a user experience which condensates the advantages of both a powershift and a CVT. For example, it allows to have pre-determined ratios, which are also fully customizable, as well as continuous speed variation for precise working up to 5 km/h, possibility to keep the tractor standing without activating the brakes, optimization of braking actions during coasting in downhill, hydraulic reversing at all speeds.

Foreseen advantages: improved easiness of use, productivity.

19 - A/16

JACK

System to interconnect a sprayer to an additional multi-products direct-injection system.

What is innovative: the system interconnects a device for dosing several products, which in itself allows Variable Rate Application and Section control, and it's based on ISOBUS language, to a sprayer having the same capabilities. The products which are added to the one carried out in the sprayer's tank are injected right before the boom, allowing contemporary distribution of non-mixable products. All distributed products follow different layers of a prescription map, so that the nozzles are fed with the different products in variable and independent quantities.

Foreseen advantages: improved productivity and flexibility, keeping the optimization of the environmental care.
