Polieco manufactures KIO, the manhole cover made of Kinext, an innovative composite material that combines strength, durability and
lightweight properties. Compared to traditional manhole covers, KIO weighs approximately 70% less, making handling, installation and
maintenance easier while reducing transportation and labour costs. The material also contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions and noise
pollution, thanks to its lower noise levels when vehicles and pedestrians pass over it. As a non-conductive material, KIO provides greater safety in the event of electrical leakage and is less susceptible to theft and vandalism. Available in different load classes and configurations, it is ideal for gas, water, sewer and electrical networks, as well as pedestrian, industrial and road areas.
